UTI and NSDL both are responsible for PAN Card service provider in india. There is not any major different between NSDL and UTI. Both are working under the Income tax department of India.
National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) :
National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) is an Indian central securities depository based in Mumbai. NSDL provides the online pan card services where any applicant can apply new pan card as well as make correction on pan card and applicant can apply for reprint or reissue the pan card if he/her lost the pan card. NSDL charge Rs. 106 /- for new Application and correction application.
NSDL takes approx 7 – 10 days for PAN Number allotment and 20 – 25 days for shipping hard copy or physical copy of pan card to the application location in india.
Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited (UTI) :
Established in 1993, UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited (UTIITSL), erstwhile UTI Technology Services Limited (UTITSL), is a Government owned company that provides technology and outsourcing services to the Financial and Government sectors of India.UTI also provide PAN Card service throughout India. any applicant can apply for new pan card, correction on pan card and reprint or reissue of pan card from UTI. UTITSL also have online portal for pan card application and pan card correction/changes/reissue etc type of application.
UTI also take approx 7-10 days for pan number allotment. and It will take 20 – 25 days for pan card delivery to the applicant location. UTI also charge Rs. 106 /- for new PAN Application, PAN correction application and Reprint of pan application.
Conclusion :
NSDL and UTI Both are providing online as well as offline PAN Card services in india. so you can apply for pan card either from UTI or NSDL. But applicant should apply for pan from which is nearest of applicant location. Both the company take same processing time for PAN Application. But NSDL have more office and franchise in india.
